Artists of all ages and talent ranges are invited to enter up to three works which express their feelings about the earth.
Accepted artists will be published in the online interactive exhibition. Winning entries will be featured in the upcoming book, If I am the Earth by Dorothy Fagan. Proceeds will go to The Williamsburg Land Conservancy.
All artists will have access to materials for teachers and youth activities for inspiring creative writing, art and earth stewardship among people in their communities.

With prizes worth £3,000 and the chance of exhibiting in a prestigious central London gallery this autumn, the EAC Over 60s Art Awards competition is now open.
Calling all artist and group leaders/ Classes/ Art Clubs.
The HoldaHand project is a national arts project in which 64,000 people are invited to participate. 64,000 small white sculptures of a hand will be distributed in a number of ways to groups and individuals.
Handholders will hold the hand for a year and be creative with it, they will then bring it back to a massive exhibition.By popular request Mary Beaney, well-known and professional local artist will be tutoring her workshops in Pevensey Village - close to Pevensey Castlewhich inspires Mary in many of her paintings. Mary invites you to have fun whilst creating a 'masterpiece' in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and sets up at least 4 'still life' to paint from - no copying from photos -. The aim of the workshops is to get people to overcome their inhibitions - "but I haven't painted since leaving school" - "I can't paint" - "I don't know how to paint" is always the lament. To paint - BIG - BOLD - BEAUTIFUL. Mary welcomes all abilities and wants the joyful thrill of the making of art accessible to all in the community.

After the succes of last year's event, which attracted 15000 visitors, the Special Trees and Woods Project, in partnership with the Chilterns Conservation Board, is hosting an art competition open to all those that are inspired by the woods of the Chilterns.
Two awards, The Judges’ Award and The People’s Award, will be presented and selected artwork will be exhibited in two venues.
Special Trees and Woods Project volunteer Joan Skelton Smith is curating the exhibitions. She said “The Chilterns landscape has proved inspirational to many artists over the years including Eric Gill, John Piper and Paul Nash. We know that the woods continue to inspire and I am really looking forward to seeing what entries we receive. I know that we will get artwork of every different medium and size, which will create a really exciting exhibition.”

After the succes of last year's event, which attracted 15000 visitors, the Special Trees and Woods Project, in partnership with the Chilterns Conservation Board, is hosting an art competition open to all those that are inspired by the woods of the Chilterns.
Two awards, The Judges’ Award and The People’s Award, will be presented and selected artwork will be exhibited in two venues.
Special Trees and Woods Project volunteer Joan Skelton Smith is curating the exhibitions. She said “The Chilterns landscape has proved inspirational to many artists over the years including Eric Gill, John Piper and Paul Nash. We know that the woods continue to inspire and I am really looking forward to seeing what entries we receive. I know that we will get artwork of every different medium and size, which will create a really exciting exhibition.”

Artists of all ages and talent ranges are invited to enter up to three works which express their feelings about the earth.
Accepted artists will be published in the online interactive exhibition. Winning entries will be featured in the upcoming book, If I am the Earth by Dorothy Fagan. Proceeds will go to The Williamsburg Land Conservancy.

The HoldaHand project is a national arts project in which 64,000 people are invited to participate. 64,000 small white sculptures of a hand will be distributed in a number of ways to groups and individuals.
Handholders will hold the hand for a year and be creative with it, they will then bring it back to a massive exhibition.By popular request Mary Beaney, well-known and professional local artist will be tutoring her workshops in Pevensey Village - close to Pevensey Castlewhich inspires Mary in many of her paintings. Mary invites you to have fun whilst creating a 'masterpiece' in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and sets up at least 4 'still life' to paint from - no copying from photos -. The aim of the workshops is to get people to overcome their inhibitions - "but I haven't painted since leaving school" - "I can't paint" - "I don't know how to paint" is always the lament. Accepted artists will be published in the online interactive exhibition. Winning entries will be featured in the upcoming book, If I am the Earth by Dorothy Fagan. Proceeds will go to The Williamsburg Land Conservancy.
All artists will have access to materials for teachers and youth activities for inspiring creative writing, art and earth stewardship among people in their communities.

The HoldaHand project is a national arts project in which 64,000 people are invited to participate. 64,000 small white sculptures of a hand will be distributed in a number of ways to groups and individuals.
Handholders will hold the hand for a year and be creative with it, they will then bring it back to a massive exhibition.By popular request Mary Beaney, well-known and professional local artist will be tutoring her workshops in Pevensey Village - close to Pevensey Castlewhich inspires Mary in many of her paintings. Mary invites you to have fun whilst creating a 'masterpiece' in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and sets up at least 4 'still life' to paint from - no copying from photos -. The aim of the workshops is to get people to overcome their inhibitions - "but I haven't painted since leaving school" - "I can't paint" - "I don't know how to paint" is always the lament. To paint - BIG - BOLD - BEAUTIFUL. Mary welcomes all abilities and wants the joyful thrill of the making of art accessible to all in the community.

After the succes of last year's event, which attracted 15000 visitors, the Special Trees and Woods Project, in partnership with the Chilterns Conservation Board, is hosting an art competition open to all those that are inspired by the woods of the Chilterns.
Two awards, The Judges’ Award and The People’s Award, will be presented and selected artwork will be exhibited in two venues.
Special Trees and Woods Project volunteer Joan Skelton Smith is curating the exhibitions. She said “The Chilterns landscape has proved inspirational to many artists over the years including Eric Gill, John Piper and Paul Nash. We know that the woods continue to inspire and I am really looking forward to seeing what entries we receive. I know that we will get artwork of every different medium and size, which will create a really exciting exhibition.”
